I totally get where you're coming from. Most of the people giving you crap for your translation and editing choices have probably never read a Chinese fanfic. I'm not disparaging them or any other country. However, Chinese fanfics are absolutely ripe with propaganda and racism, and a majority of it isn't even intentional. I imagine if you had anyway of speaking to the author on the level about what your doing without any condescension on their part you would. Reaching out to them is probably damn well near impossible though. Frankly you're probably doing this fanfic a genuine service if what other English MTLs I've read are as poorly translated as they normally are.

actually, I do as well. hear me out, even when it's blatantly obvious that someone isn't trying to kill him, he acts like they are and that it's reason enough for him to kill them. it's even weirder when you consider that out of all cultivation novels, Soul Land's martial culture - at least in the first one - is rather honor driven when compared to something like ATG or BTTH. Oh sure there are outliers, but ultimately the worst you'll receive is a beating and some insults.
