I would have posted this on Royal Road before here, I don't remember the last time a non reincarnation story was ever in the power top 10. I don't think the audience here is really geared towards this type of stuff. They would probably think that its too slow, or just wont be interested in the first place.

Before I read this I would like to say this. Author, your main character can't both be a villain and an anti-hero. I'll give you an example to help you out. A villain is someone who uses bad methods to achieve bad results, an anti-hero is someone who uses bad methods to achieve good results. Sooo maybe change those tags XD

Author, I feel like this scene could have been a lot better. Don't take this the wrong way, but reading this annoyed me, I don't particularly like being told what is happening without any nuance as if I am a child. The original is to heavy-handed and overly simplistic. A small smile landed itself on my face, the silence wasn't so bad for some reason, actually, it was kind of refreshing, peaceful. "Hmm... What are you smiling about?" I looked to see my father watching me. "Oh, heh, it's nothing..." We continued to eat in silence. There is an example of how it could be written, I added dialogue because of all the subtext that was conveyed in that simple back and forth. Basically, show don't tell.

That's good then, if everyone was like me and didn't derive enjoyment from constantly being interrupted from the story with a/n that serve no purpose other than a quick joke, then this wouldn't be as popular as it is. You could argue that the a/n give to the story in humor, and I would agree, I just didn't find most of them funny. The a/n that just say "insert image of {blank}" are lazy though, they are only there to increase engagement, I would know, I did same thing in my fanfic. The way I did it though made the reader actively think about the story and how my MC's powers could be applied.

Here we see the author beginning to dig the hole for his MC to crawl out of! We all know that this "hole" that the author is digging is just a metaphor for the obstacles that the MC must go through. Okay, author, that is deep enough! Why, why are you continuing to dig... That is good author, it doesn't need to be any deeper... Why are you going quicker?
