This sounds kinda like Dark Souls stuff...
In this story, the main character gets a power up where he becomes the 'King of Searing Soul.' His aura was black which resembled the void. There was something extremely interesting about it, however. His power was still of the holy attribute. - James_King3126dCommented

I thought meteor armour + space gun = No mana cost? Is this more of a Danmachi power balance thing?
But not only did I want to make the armor with the Meteoric bars, but I also wanted to make the Space gun which was a star pistol-like blaster that used mana to shoot a rather weak laser but combined with the Meteor armor and a Mana flower it would use only twenty percent of the mana it should. - James_King31221dCommented

Here's a thought. Perhaps the Dungeon reaches deep enough to barely break into the Netherrealm of this world, and with the dungeon feeding off of those energies to create monsters (The closer to gekai, the weaker these energies become resulting in different tiers of floors/monsters) and the monsters at the very bottom are much more akin to Demons. Ouranos doesn't want this info getting out because there's a chance that humanity could gain power from and become corrupted by the "Devils" from below. The reason the Xenos are less hostile towards humans was because during the time of Zeus and Hera familias, the two worlds interacted together to at least develop a bit of a non-hostility during that time?

The whole trip back, though, Neo was haunted by memories of that poor girl staring at her and saying she didn't want to die.
