Sorry, but this makes zero sense. How do these simple facts cause the protagonist (who is presumably a genius) to label the world of Star Wars to be an "enigma?" You could apply everything in this paragraph to socioeconomics in present day and recieve a simple answer. Why are people living in poor conditions when there are existing technologies that should be preventing them from doing so? The most general answer is that their regional economy isn't up to par. It isn't surprising to see places in Star Wars living in poor conditions. You can clearly make the connection to real-world 1st and 3rd-world countries. Also, making the assumption that one can grasp opportunities to benefit themselves simply because they own a spaceship or a personal robot is mere idiocy. Just because someone has access to transportation doesn't mean they can just drive off with it. TL;DR: This makes zero sense.
author-san, you keep changing to first person pov by using "we". idk if this is on purpose or not, but its throwing me off. my brain go brrrrrr
I wish the story didn't just leisurely tell the readers all of this information. It would've been better, in my opinion, if Roy found out himself.
