Clandestined_10mthCommentedI like the idea of the biology magic but I fear it could potentially ruin the magic of the story. Instead of using his wits and circumstances to his advantage to take advantage, Riel would end up using it as a crutch and thus lose the charm of his work. Especially now that you’re developing Lucielle and Celine more. Combat wise I’m all for it, though idk how you’ll develop combat within the story I love your work and am ecstatic you’re back

There sure as heck was a lot of lava in those tunnels though, particularly at the bottom. It felt like I was digging for diamonds the rate at which lava kept flowing from each and every direction. I can still see it now, pouring out of the stone tunnels above and falling the vast distance into the plains below. In fact, there are hundreds of such lavafalls I can see from here. And those three upgrades are going to cost me just FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY BIOMASS. Holy moly things are getting expensive at this tier. I seriously need to prioritise mutating my stomach the next time around. I need to squeeze all the Biomass I can out of the prey I get because I need literally thousands of points to get myself to fully upgraded. This is likely the downside of adding too many different body parts and organs… but it'll be fine. As long as I spend enough time I'll eventually get to max. Considering I need to reach level one hundred and sixty to evolve again, there's almost no chance I reach that level cap before I finish my mutations. The sheer volume of experience required is just mind boggling. Although, knocking down a tier seven opponent is worth quite a few levels… hopefully I'll get the chance again tomorrow. - Clandestined_2yrCommented
Does The Collector know that the god it initially killed was a god? Because it’s made references to it being the high king before. Which reminds me, is the sun still black or was that a temporary occurance?
This was significant because it indicated more reference points for the Collector to determine the strength of the New Gods. It was difficult to ascertain any proper information about them for any tales of them seemed to be heavily steeped in myth that functioned similar to propaganda, painting the gods as those with limitless powers and adhering to noble values shared by the tinkerers. - Clandestined_2yrCommented

I just had a thought, what if Kui is using his high level of Flow to essentially accelerate his brain. This would give him the needed processing power to overthrow the Collector’s own mental prowess. I dont think we’ve seen The Collector try it, since they’ve never had a need for it, but its the only thing that makes sense for a mere tinkerer to be able to surpass the literal pinnacle of evolutionary perfection

After ten minutes of zig-zagging, she arrived at the confluence, a wide meeting point of many tunnels close to the heart of the Nest. Many of her siblings were here when she arrived, moving from tunnel to tunnel, gathering into teams, or meeting with the present acolytes of action to coordinate their strikes. She had other business. She turned her attention and antennae to the roof and began to feel her way amongst the descriptive carvings there. The entire ceiling was an elaborate mural, though she had met none who could claim to know who carved it, which contained many scenes radiating out from the centre of the chamber, each filled with breathtaking beauty. It was the outer edge of the chamber that contained what she sought, and she headed there directly and began moving clockwise around the edge. At various points she came across various monsters defeated by the Eldest emblazoned on a star as if they had become part of a constellation that illuminated the Eldest's strength.
