Honestly when I need to lie, I tend to avoid fully lying and instead say half truths or withhold the information altogether. But if I see no way out of it, I lie, but even then I feel the guilt. Technically true. Dark Naruto is similar to Gaara in the desperation and hatred but without the psycho tendencies Gaara got because of Shukaku and insomnia. By Dark Naruto I mean the Naruto from the waterfall, the representation of Naruto's inner and repressed feelings. The key difference between Canon Naruto and Gaara is that at least Naruto wasn't forced to kill the only person who cared about him, and the fact that Gaara was tricked into thinking that said person hated and blamed him for his sister, Gaara's mom's death. That mentally broke him, plus he was a naturally quiet and gentle child, while Naruto had... well Uzumaki personality, his willpower is stronger than most.
