He slammed his fists into the ground, the earth beneath him cracking and shaking. The power drained him quickly, his body trembling from the effort. Trees began to groan and snap, their trunks splitting as they crashed to the ground around him.

Thorfinn snarled and deflected a vicious slash, but the force of the blow sent his sword wide, leaving him open. Finn moved in, aiming to crack his ribs with another punch, but Thorfinn met his fist with his own, his hand glowing with a pale blue light. When their fists connected, a shockwave of air burst from the impact.

The final attacker rushed at him, but Thorfinn sidestepped, cutting the man's hand clean off. The man screamed, clutching the bloody stump, but Thorfinn grabbed him by the head, his eyes narrowing with focus. A pale blue light surrounded Thorfinn's hand as the man's head began to vibrate violently.

A blinding flash of light filled the sky as a bolt of lightning struck the tentacle, attracted by the iron harpoon. The current travelled through the tentacle, and in an instant, it exploded in a mass of flesh and gore. Thorfinn watched, wide-eyed, as chunks of the leviathan's tentacle rained down, splashing into the turbulent sea around him. The beast let out a bellow of pain that reverberated through the water and air.

Lagertha, separated from the others, found herself facing three men. They advanced with smirks on their faces, underestimating her. She used their cockiness to her advantage, darting forward and slashing one across the face. He screamed, clutching his wound, and she followed with a quick stab to his heart. The other two attacked simultaneously. Lagertha blocked one sword with her shield, then ducked under a wild swing from the other, countering with a brutal slash to the attacker's thigh. He fell with a cry, and she finished him with a thrust to the chest. The last man hesitated, giving her the opening to bash him with her shield, knocking him off balance. She drove her sword into his gut, pushing him to the ground with her weight. Panting, she pulled her sword free and scanned the trees for more enemies. Another attacker rushed at her, swinging a club. Lagertha deflected the blow with her shield and slashed at his wrist, severing it. He screamed in agony, and she silenced him with a quick strike to the neck, feeling the warmth of his blood splatter her face. She turned just in time to see another foe charging. She sidestepped his attack, tripping him with a swift kick and plunging her sword into his back as he fell.

"Wæter ārīsan," he whispered as he reached his hand out. The water rose out of the water touching his hand where he swirled it around. He had been improving with his control over his magic, while he was nowhere close to mastering it he could summon a flame strong enough to light a fire and move water like this. He had no teacher for magic apart from Floki, but even then he only had knowledge of runes.

Judith stood up and wrapped her scarf around her cleavage, she looked disappointed but nodded nonetheless. "Then I hope to see you soon," she said with a smile. They both went their separate ways, Thorfinn didn't think he could handle staying in this place much longer, he enjoyed learning but he had stifled in his attempt to build his legend 'I should be out fighting! I should be killing in the name of Odin!' He chastised himself as he walked through the garden. His anger was starting to build, though it was mostly anger at himself for becoming too comfortable with this lifestyle, how had his blood cooled so much that he could settle for reading books and sitting in gardens.

Judith looked up at Thorfinn and smiled gratefully "Thank you, Edward, I truly am glad that I met you," she said as she leaned her head on his shoulder. Thorfinn tried to smile but found that he couldn't, her sincerity made pangs of guilt run through his body; he tried to remind himself that these people were nothing but enemies, foreigners who worshipped the wrong gods.
