exactly lol, the demonic faction is highly focused on power. they aint just gonna sit back and let a pushover take control over an entire region while being associated with their clans' name

i dont think it would ruin the story, Nick is consistently dealing with specters on the level of fanatics or higher and he is powerless against them every time. all of the specters they've gotten lately werent even acquired through actual battles and we almost never see him use his abilities anymore except for little one-off instances. if anything i think the story will benefit from a power jump since nick will finally be able to be more engaged in the outside world and stronger beings.

so i know this is random, but whats going on with Dame. Like, is he dead or whats the deal? we havent heard anything about him since he was thrown off the cliff.

honestly just thinking about this makes me extremely excited

so im thinking he'll feed the hero to the specter and get a massive boost from it being so much higher level than him and possibly feed the other heroes to it as well, leading him to walk out of this as a specialist? with julian being at the 'specialist' level currently and already close to advancing, nick is running out of time fast. being an expert wont be enough, he has to at least be in the same realm. i understand that nick has always taken on those stronger than him, but not by that much and definitely not against those who know every single one of his abilities so well.

i think Alba will understand, she might be pretty shocked and even sad but she doesnt strike me as the type who would be completely blinded by emotions.

and now that we're reaching the climax of the battle, the next chapter is likely gonna be about the big ol' bunch of nothing thats going on back at the academy.

so whats the deal with victor? is he really using xin for some nefarious purposes or something? if thats the case then it makes me kind of sad, he seemed like a really good dude tbh.

its been pretty clear from the start that he wasnt a bad guy. even in his past life he never hurt people who didnt deserve it unless it was impossible to avoid without sacrificing his goals.

im ready to see what his new ability does from the blinding light
