Well.. Evolve is the best term I can think of in this situation. (In my opinion) Uprade is usually used for some kind of gear/item (in video games). Update is used in case of a software or data in said software. So evolve, or look up a more fancy synonym of it. And I forgot to say, but if you have a friend who loves reading fanfics, and is good at understanding/writing in engliah, then you could ask him/her to edit out errors for you. (or at least point them out) Peace. :)

Evolving the sharingan? Nah, I'll upgrade it with my antivirus to version 1 pro, then to version 2 silver max, to ver. 3 golden bundle, then platinum edition, with a new logo and fancy in-built VPN... Seriously, put the chapters trough ChatGPT, it will eliminate all grammatical errors.

Well...said gun is truly a one of a kind artifact, and Jörmūngandr couldn't attack the MC hence the clear shot.The Basilisk was dealt with by Neville, and for the last "fight" the MC was prepared for (everyone who's clever would've checked the ritual victims)So it's somewhat justified for me. (maybe wounding the MC would have made it more immersive?)

A good fantasy novel is a somewhat realistic one, like ASOIAF(GOT), where one bad decision or a few words said out loud will result in death, torture, or just some other kind of prolonged suffering.Don't make this fan-fic into one where the power of friendship can and will bring back the dead, or where the MC wins in a situation where the odds are infinitely stacked against him.
