No he is making a shield of some sort around his body that is like a field where nothing can aproach him due to the distance being infinite.

I would use it to see if the vaccine was actually as bad as the naysayers say then i would use it to go to the richest most powerful hidden families in the world and have them fix this fucked up situation.
