I think the culture in China is different, as where you go to college essentially determines your future. There is also the Gaokao, which determines which college you get into. This culture is why so many webnovels involve things like an entrance examination and getting into university.

I have come back after a year, now at chapter 3537, to say that my fellow readers should NOT skip the war arc. Although it’s not required to understand the story going on, Ves develops quite a bit during this time period, and much of the content in the following arc can be better understood by reading this one. Plus, it’s actually quite entertaining, especially once you get past the middle.

Five Eyes is actually a real thing, it was formed around world war 2 as ECHELON surveillance. The US, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand make it up

If I were reviewing just based off of the quality of the novel, it would be an easy 5 stars. The grammar is very good and the novel is easy to read. The system is essentially the same as Warlock of the Magus world, but the author makes it his own with small changes and more emphasis on knight cultivation/body refining. MC is not a self righteous hero nor a evil and cunning villain, he is just a person trying to survive and become stronger. Interaction between characters is not amazing, but is decent enough in quality to not impede the novel. Overall, a very strong novel with few weaknesses. One defining factor that keeps me from giving it 5 stars? UPDATE TIMES. Book looks inactive and abandoned at first glance, but author updates at a speed of around 1 every two weeks or so. 5 stars on everything except update stability, which I gave two stars (Not one becuase at least the author updates it sometimes)

You would be right... if the quick cast runes decreased the casting time of spells. Instead the runes increase the casting speed by 10%, they stack so ten would be 100% and +100% speed literally just means double. If it were -100% it would just bring it down to zero, which would be way to OP.
The quick-cast rune. As the name suggested, it could increase the speed of casting spells. Each quick-cast rune could raise the speed by a certain percentage. More specifically, each quick-cast rune could raise the chanting speed by 10%. Ten quick cast runes could raise the chanting speed by 100%; that was the same as cutting the chanting time in half.
