more like a trust fund baby that wasn't taught how to be responsible. "I'm competitive and smart and oppressed intellectually so i went out and bought a super expensive phone and a new apartment and now my account is negative." yeah.. sounds like it's the govs fault

Such led to the current situation where a young man from a family that makes more than $250,000 a year, is over $2,000 in debt.

i mean realistically, what do you want him to do? travel all across the world specifically to kill every king rank demon on the planet? Assuming he does that, his strength will stagnate since he won't have time to game, and the ones he hasn't killed yet will regress and be unkillable and he will lose his slight advantage before he can capitalize. the paragraph literally starts with "everything has advantages and disadvantages". "a silver lining in every cloud " basically. Seeing the upsides in a garbage situation is healthy. otherwise you get into a bad headspace really fast. it's not as if he's advocating for more demon kings or anything. on top of all that, y'all are basically suggesting he has a moral obligation to save the world because he might be able to. there is definitely an interesting debate there, but it is by no means black and white.

Everything has advantages and disadvantages. If those Demon Kings can really regress their bloodlines and reach the level of ancient demonic creatures, then he won't have to worry about acquiring King-level Ancient Demon Essence Blood!

not the first time, but nothing is consistent here. supposedly everyone hates him, so Maria would be more likely to make a comment about Alex not being worth it. honestly, Apathy is a more likely emotion for someone that is worthless. you have to generally do something to get everyone to hate you. they don't just say "man, this dude doesn't get good grades or have any skills. i hate him. let's go beat him up." BUT, if that is what they decide to do in your meritocracy, it should be consistent. otherwise it is even more jarring and hard to get into.

"Really? What about Alex?" Maria asked. Maria Fergina was Sandra's childhood friend. When she found out that Sandra became Alex's girlfriend, she worried so much, repeatedly advising her to reconsider.

dumping stat points to run to the store lol

The second run is as fast as the first, bringing him smoothly to level 10, the minimum recommended entry level for the second dungeon. Mission accomplished, he waves goodbye to the Guild group and runs straight for the armorer, even putting his new skill points into dexterity for the increased run speed.

To be fair, it is arguable that few would dare rebel again. They will know that if Noah is involved, their bargaining chips will do nothing to save them.

He had made the whole world suffer only to benefit a bit more from his current position.

this makes 0 sense... teleporters are transporting your atoms and reassembling them. that is how they transport you so fast.. if everything is broken down to that level, being in a hover bus is not gonna keep you from dying if the spatial rings are that rough. it would only be usable on inorganic material

It was able to teleport bigger masses and farther than the teleportation circle for pedestrians. The only issue was, a person couldn't enter the spatial ring. If a normal person tried entering the spatial ring, their bodies would be ripped to shreds before they could arrive on the other side which was why the teleportation circle was for individuals.

that's crazy they suspected him. only the entire school knew he was gonna fight the 1 dead kid who was always with the 2 mostly dead kids. I can't imagine why his 'cover up' wasn't very productive

After the whole incident at the uncompleted building, Gustav was considered a suspect by the investigators even after everything he did to cover up.

complete roll of the dice, yet it said earlier that the cannoneer was a intentionally counter picked for him based off their knowledge of his pilots preferences

"Sometimes, I wonder whether the single duel format is flawed." Ves remarked to Patricia as he turned away from Lachlan's display. "It's a complete roll of the dice whether the terrain favors your mech, or whether it is facing its natural counter."

her name was Alyssa Fill before.. she have an alter ego or sloppy writing?

He looked at the scores for the few people he knew. Surprisingly, the combination Alyssa Lynch and Richard Lovell earned an impressive rank of 32nd. Considering that Cadet Lovell piloted one of the worst mechs on the battlefield, that was an incredibly heroic feat.

suspension of disbelief would be a good route here. if it's too much, just drop the novel

Those interested in piloting an authentic war mech also needed the right genes. The highly arcane neural interface that allowed pilots to control their mechs as natural as moving their own bodies could only be piloted by a gifted handful. Those who ignored the warnings fried their brains.

I mean if you really want to start questioning everything, why not start with "why have we figured out either light speed travel or warping, and have instantaneous communication galaxy wide, but mechs are the best we can do?" (such travel/communication would have to be possible to support what we have been told so far)

This lady had already entered the grayish-white mill, and as she watched the struggling Gehrman Sparrow, she cracked the corners of her lips and revealed blood-colored tendrils in the gaps between her neat, white teeth. She softly said, "Got you…"
