*imperative Oof.
I’ve been down for a week with foodborne illness. It’s no bueno. Throwing up so much you can’t keep water down… till you got to the hospital. Then for like a week you can’t eat normal food and you’re still on and off nauseous. It’s a rough time. Question isn’t what did the author eat- the question is what was *on* what the author ate. 😭
Thinking as missing chapters (when the author was hospitalized for illness) as being owed is counterproductive. 1. Starting fresh and focusing on getting chapters now is easier to do mentally and minimizes delay. 2. Fam they were ill. Physically, yes, but also even if it were mentally- I’m not gonna charge a person for their sick days. Being incommunicado is frustrating I’m sure but I wouldn’t say they owe the missed chapters.
Oh that’s super true. Super duper true. There’s definitely a middle ground between non and full disclosure where they talk about it as an environmental hazard thing. Just don’t use the word ‘corruption.’
Also ironically the way mental health works this comment is more likely to convince the author to drop, even if they weren’t going to. Your frustration is valid, but the comment isn’t effective if what you want is more chapters. If all you want is to vent, or to make the author feel bad… then it’s effective.
You’re better than me. I don’t write lol.
It’s normal dw. He *is* thinking these things. Alas, we are all beset by the show don’t tell imperatice. 😔 And editing is hard.
Don’t write this- just have him do it.
He could be thinking about this as he’s on his way. We’ve spent five chapters with him mostly sitting down. *please note this is not hate. The story is good enough for me to pick at it like this.
