I know it’s unfair but it always feels so incredibly fake and empty when a Chinese novel mentions feelings since there is so clearly a different definition in their culture. This paragraph would only make sense in the west if the two grew up together and had a long term non-romantic relationship but in this context roughly translates to “have you lost your mind?!? This girl is smoking hot so jump on her before she changes her mind” So strange to see lewdness and hormones be considered as catching feelings for someone
