In the original work, only a few individuals awakened their bloodline powers; in Soren's memory, there were only Voldemort, who spoke Parseltongue, Tonks, who had natural Metamorphmagus abilities, and Professor Trelawney, who had a thin trace of prophetic blood but had fallen into charlatanism. Harry Potter's ability to speak Parseltongue was passively acquired due to his connection with a fragment of Voldemort's soul, and did not belong to inherent bloodline power.
