I mean, a good third of whats in storage is from when the Brits just murdered the natives then stole their stuff to put in the museum. Another third is stuff the Brits just stole (without all the murder). Then now that everyones "civilized", when the natives descendants want it back the Brits say "You couldnt protect it from us in the first place, so it wouldnt be safe with you" as a reason to keep it.

Shadow magic is possibility magic. You can use it to learn/do/find things because it was a possible thing to have learned/done/found. You can use it to pull copies of weapons/other selves out of your shadow to combat your enemies. Its about as BS as Tonal Magics.

Wasnt the lore that she went to find a cure for her sister quelina? She couldnt find one and dillydallied getting back because she was ashamed she failed. When she got back she saw quelag murderhobo a group of people and assumed quelina had died and that quelag was controlled by chaos (she was killing them for their humanity to lessen the curse on quelina, but assumptions won out). She sat outside in the hope that someone could free her sister and mother from the control of Chaos (of course quelag wasnt under its control and the mom died sealing the bed of chaos, but whatever).

The translation is pretty darn bad. But think of it this way, the translation is really bad yet a ton of people are still reading it. That means they like the story enough to deal with the bad TL.

The difference in their speed ensured that the distance was preserved ultimately forcing Snorlax to attack using long-range attacks as well.
