It's been a long time since I dropped this, but wasn't the region that was affected responsible for feeding the entire country? Which was supposed to be the largest country in the world by population?
To be honest I would most likely be the same as the MC and get swept away in it. Just imagine : You go from being a boring day in day out mundane job to being Hogwarts superman. Then you find out you can get even stronger easily. Now you are given two paths : 1) Get overhyped and take a risk so you can make 100x the progress you made in months, in just a few days. If all goes well you can be busted OP in a few weeks. 2) Take it super easy and in a decade or two you will be op af. While I like to think I'd be sensible and patient, 100% I would get an over inflated ego and wanna speedrun to being op.
I imagine it would be a new form of "Getting the belt". Basically like timeout except in the lightless void.
"It costs dozens of coins per year, need to be rich to study there" MC : Am I rich? No, I just have a few thousand gold coins. Sorry guys but go back to monster town pls thnx bye.
.... This seems like he has a pokemon moveset : Fireball : Ember. Thorn vine : Vine whip. Water bubble : Bubble/bubblebeam Earthquake : Earthquake Wind blade : Air cutter Burning hand : Fire punch
Probably the crack dealer system : first one is 1 point, second is 3, third is 7 etc
Ah..... I am late but here is an info dump for you about wingless dragons : The primary origin of winged dragons is western Europe, as you head further east we begin to come across more and more wingless dragons. One prominent theory is that it is due to the high volumes of coastal trade across Europe : Think you saw something amidst the clouds during a storm while at sea? Be careful it could be a dragon. Think you are safe from dragons just because you can run away in a boat? They can fly. As we go further inland (from western Europe) we begin to find more mythology involving wingless dragons such as the Giant snake-like dragon Azhdaha in Iranian myths, The Kur from Sumerian myths, to the Siberian Yelbeghen or the Arabic Altinin or even further away the Brazilian Boitata or the Egyptian Apophis.
Don't forget the Trees as well.... Maybe some birds also if I remember correctly.
Think of it this way : After completing a sale the "price" or whatever he traded his services for is owned by him now. However, He can't just take it out of the shop so he has 2 options : Option 1 : Sacrifice it to the alter for direct consumption and get reimbursed its value in "days to live" or Option 2 : Pay a small fee/commission (think of it as a fee for using the "shop service") and have it classified as "warehouse goods" which he can either choose to trade for days later or use as he pleases.
Yep and if you look into the historical setting linked with the popular myths you can kind of see how they are influenced that way. Europe : Magic, Unexplainable mystic things and beings, Also hated by most churches, Very similar to the incredible amounts of religious beliefs in the area. So many countries in such a relatively small area all with different myths, beliefs and folk tales. Something not explained by the church? Must be magic. Lots of different types of creatures and stories? Just different branches of magic. Most (old) stories also feature magicians being old, Similar to those with high value in most of european history. Learn throughout your life then use your wisdom to guide. Much like the structure of how vital positions were assigned to the skilled elderly who had an understanding of how the world works. USA : Formed separate and distant from religious powerhouses. Went to war with religious countries. The focus of "supreme" beings in the culture in turn focused on "regular people. But better". Generally separate from mythological back stories and instead focused on new history, science and everyday people. Chinese : Culture focused very heavily on heritage and accumulation of a family over time. Plagued with wars over history. Its supreme beings take on these traits respectively. Where war is constant, the strong are useful and are respected. In a culture where gradual accumulation and heritage are the focus of society, we see a theme of powers being hereditary and increasing in power as they are given time to accumulate strength. Mythology and fantasy tend to be heavily inspired by the culture where they develop and I find that kind of neat.
No worries! (Another info dump) the main factors for "elite" types of meat aren't so much dependent on the grade of meat but other factors like cattle breed, Raising conditions and treatment. For example an elite cut could be something like "Dry aged Grain fed A+ Japanese Wagyu" compared to more common "Untreated Grade A+ Australian Brahman". The Grade of meat basically determines where its quality sits on the scale in its group. Its hard to explain but basically think like this : Grading = energy efficency. A 5 star energy efficient car will still use more power than a 1 star efficiency tv remote. In the same way that due to cattle breed, history and rearing, Class B wagyu will still be worth more than class A Brahman or Hereford. Anyway yeah.... Cattle facts.....
Merica?
Tomatoes, passionfruit and watermelons in particular are ridiculously easy to grow.... Almost annoyingly so. Short version : Plants grow. Grow fruit. Fruit bats and birds eat the fruit. Spread the seeds. My yard endlessly has these 2 popping up every time it rains. As for watermelons, nieces and nephews ensure they get spread around enough.
Ya'll jumping straight onto china for this one, but you have to admit its not just china, This is the attitude of any governing country. America : Protests are fine, So long as they aren't aimed at something the government wants. Having the skills to make weapons and B*mbs is fine, As long as you are making them for us. Old school England (and a ton of other countries) : Being a religious leader is fine, so long as you are preaching our version of religion.
