I love good fantasy and sci-fi books. I am not really into the translated novels too much but the original content is fantastic.

She can make a tower. In fact, her tent palace is basically a mage tower. Menadion's tower is different though. It's very likely that nobody but Manadion and her absolute closest friends/family knew about several of these functions. And we know that Menadion didn't teach anyone most of the theory behind her tower. All of these things are Menadion's personal creations, and while Salaark could probably replicate it by delving into the runes that make up the arrays as well as the power core, that's a long-term research project.

Salaark nodded with a warm smile on her face. Only an occasional twitch in her left eye betrayed how frustrated she felt.

    Razz still a GOAT!

"Even if you asked me to go to the moon for your birthday, I would do it because you deserve it and so much more. This is not just our opportunity to celebrate your coming, but also to show you how much you mean to us."

Raaz had appeared in a sitting position, with a reddened face twisted from the effort, and his pants down. He even relieved his bowels a bit before noticing that something was wrong with the restroom.

Then, he had ridden the shockwaves like a surfer, passing any damage to the main body so that he would always be in peak condition. By the time the Raging Suns had detonated, their intended victims were already out of the house.

It could just be a royal forgemaster thing.

Somehow, the grip of the short weapon had sprung forward, gaining a momentum that would have blasted Tezka's skull open. Such damage wasn't enough to kill an Eldritch, but without the head, he would have been helpless until it regenerated.

Since always? Even if there is theoretically enough food to go around, if it's all in the hands of a few people who aren't willing to share then it's a famine. Think about France just before the revolution? Yes, a lack of plentiful harvests caused food to be lacking, but nobles bought - or outright took - all the food that people were trying to keep for themselves.

"If you want me to request for backup, you better say so. The army and the Mage Association have had their hands full lately. Winter in the north lasted way longer than usual and those damn nobles hoarded the food for themselves, causing a famine.

Lith killed two balors I believe when he was in Volgrish's lair. Trouble was one of them.

Lith took the Yggdrasill staff, the Evil Eyes of the Balor, Trouble's corpse, and that of the Vagrash out of his dimensional pocket.

The good men did nothing, so now Lith will do evil. Simple.

"The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. That's what you did, and now you shall pay the price!"

He literally went against orders from the Crown and assaulted the person sent to try and save thousands of people's lives. Were it not for Killian's intervention, he may even have tried to kill Lith. That's exactly the kind of behavior you need to punish. Being in the military is all about doing what is right for the country, not yourself. Varegrave went in opposition of orders for the simple idea that Lith MIGHT have played a small part in his friends death. Since his blunder was so big, setting a large example is actually quite important.

The army needs some pruning too, Varegrave would have set a perfect example. No matter how loyal, influent or successful one is, treason has to be punished fiercely and mercilessly.

'Did you just think of me as your Grandma?' His thoughts had moved Salaark to the point that her eyes were veiled with tears. 'From what I heard about you, I assumed that you just called me that just to sweet talk me into giving you free stuff.'

He was drunk when he said water dragon XD

When Marth finished his report, Varegrave went pale, his lunch made several attempts to escape the stomach and get back to the plate, but a few glasses of Dragon Water to celebrate the good news managed to calm his nerves.

Right after the end of "book 1" and at the start of "book 2" a time skip happened where he had become a bounty hunter. It wasn't elaborated on besides that he only took the contracts that enabled him to kill the target.

You know as well as I do that power and brilliance are a hard mix to control. And that is what the Mage Association ultimately wants from its members, control. And when four years later he was a bounty hunter with more than thirty confirmed kills, I knew I had been right all along."

There are only like, what, 5 true mages who are able to use light mastery? Including Lith, Scarlett, Faluel and Zedros? It makes sense that nobody else can do it because they simply don't see light magic as a useful tool against abominations who feed on light magic. Scarlett happened to be able to understand light magic to a degree that nobody else did and devised a method to both nullify chaos magic, quasi-dominate, and throw it back at her opponents. I don't think anyone else would have been crazy enough to actually use light magic - a form of magic that most can't utilize as an offensive technique - in combat with an abomination. And I doubt that Scarlett shared too much of this information.

'It takes the Council's elite to stop even a single one of them and much more to kill them. Aside from white cored Awakened and Guardians, no one ever went toe to toe alone against an Eldritch and lived to tell the tale. Even the World Tree is afraid of them.'

    Morok:

On the one hand, the Tyrant was really happy that by filling the gaps on her own, Quylla had saved him the trouble to come up with a lie. On the other hand, her tears and him being too scared to tell her the embarrassing truth made Morok feel like the worst scum on Mogar.

'Oh, gods, I'm so sorry.' Quylla held him tight, bringing his head close to her chest and making his heart race like crazy. 'This is all my fault. If not for my mother's ploy, you wouldn't have Awakened and your father wouldn't have found you.

"Of course. You've been benched for months now and before that, you spent most of your time working as a mercenary. Take a lesson from Lith. He makes his own equipment and owns his own materials." Faluel said with the prideful stinginess typical of all Dragons.

Responsibility is tough. Lith thinks he's overworked, but at least he chooses to do it. Protector actually has to earn money and has kids.

Having her class more than halved allowed the Hydra to kick her disciples' asses while also conducting several experiments at the same time. Protector had reached the bright blue for a while now and he needed to start learning Spirit Magic.
