Oh ok. This was just airing my frustration on not fully understanding the character of Zero but also with the trope of the villian actually wasnt the bad guy type thing. I have a certain disposition against trying to explain the actions of an objectivley bad person in a good light. I wouldve had no reaction to his decision if he apatheticlly claimed her life as his to use for sparing her despite her atrocities. But thats just the me that hates when people who mess with children are let off scot free. But I was hooked into the story and thats why I care so much. So keep up the good work :~).

I understnad where he is comming from but this just doesn’t seem necessary from Zero’s perspective and what we have been shown thus far. I would understand if he can understsnd her due to sins he has committed but we don’t know him enough as a character to truly understand his decision. Because it says he only has a little bit of humanity and then he pulls something like this outta his heart.

I dont know how to feel about this. This feels like such a cop out, like how can she repent for the sins she committed against her children and the millenia of suffering she imposed on them. It just doesn’t sit right with me. I under

Hmmm so is time dialation of different rates segmented to different servers? Cause I would imagine that a player at a different time dialation would be moving either faster or slower. Or is there a feature that addresses that? So if I am right some players would have an advantage over others because they would have a better pod. Or is it that they are segmented into different servers or is it that they process information faster but are all in the same server. But thats besides the point, I’m back adter a hiatus waiting to gather chapters to binge. :~)

But why? There is no currently any good reason, I would understand that action if it would bring him more benefit than just more problems. Killing just to kill makes no sense as he gets nothing from it except getting rid of a nussance and causing even more problems as the parents or powerhouses are away currently. If they show up they would ask where the 2nd son is and they would eventually track it back to him along with the strange powers that the mc displays any powerhouse such as the guardian of the clan can sense him leading to further suspicion. The best move would be to leave this issue alone and to prove himself to the clan/display his power with the backing of the cat guardian therefore gaining the support of a big clan and suppressing the issues of his siblings in combat overseen by everyone. Leading to an outcome without any malice or after effects from third parties as he would be supported by the main powerhouses of the clan and his sister. Therefore ensuring his steady growth and possible peaceful life.

I think they meant that the family would kill him. A known trash that killed a valuable son, and I think they would suspect that either he bartered a deal with demons if such a thing can happen. I mean realitically and rationally how could trash suddenly gain a boost in power. But also he is not strong enough to do anything without any consequences. Well in any case a show of strength, to upturn the clan’s expectations would either have dire consequences or extreme benefits. But killing him because he can is immensely stupid as the clan guardian stated that she would kill him if he was to hurt the clan and the death of a precious genuis would stir the hornets nest. And certainly as children of the main family they would have been groomed from birth to be powerful so they may have their own backers and factions amongst eachother. But all this to say that killing him now would be a misstep but that can’t be innfered either as we don’t quite know the goal of the main character yet.

But he’s akin to a cannon that can missfire at anytime if not give the proper attention. He’s a threat and I believe that Ray knows this but, he justifies his (billy’s) continued existence for the sake of his own mentality and continued existence as the Human Ray and not as the Anomaly Ralyks. I truly believe that Ray is smart enough to realize that Billy is an existence that will continue to get in his and the other hero’s ways as long as his obsession with her remains. In a way, he’s like the popular guy (his name is on the tip of my tounge) in that one wants to save the world and the other believes he’s saving himself and in the process saving others. Well thats how I view it. So as long as Billy is useful and Ray nurtures him the right more obidient path, then I will try to tolerate his continued existence. Because his firepower and potential strength outways his current missdeeds even if he did try to harm Ray another hero and inadverantly Miss love interest who is another hero. Its better that a malfunctioning cannon remains as long as it can be repaired rather than no cannon at all. <*^*>

We would have to take in account abilities as the skills he has right now are really strong. Ranks don’t nessecarily equate to strength, for example, a lot of Sunny’s enemies or obstacles have always been stronger than him or most have but the combination of memories and abilities along with him being able to create memories or turn normal objects into memores (ie chair memory, loved that one) all of these have added up to him being able to take on enemies stronger than himself. I get where you are coming from though. Shadow Slave holds a special place in my heart and its alike to LOTM in that a fanfic has to be done very well for it to feel like its in the same book/novel. Fanfics of books of this quality bave to be able to balance creative direction and reader satisfaction (Does this make sense? Idk). But the author has done an amazing job so far, it really depends if they can capture Sunny and Nephis’ and the whole casts character and actions they would do in reaction to the MC’s actions. But currently I’m stocking up chapters rn I’m at chapter 11.

This quote was after Sunny reflected on how his Flaw helped him survive because he would’ve stayed lying and looking out for himself and that would’ve gotten hik killed, lying in a ditch all alone.

Np and amazing story so far, it has been keeping me engaged in the story and there isn’t mich to gripe about story wise. :~)

Oh nvm I saw in the desc that the author doesn’t have english as their first language but still having their names repeated multiple times kinda messes with the flow of a paragraph unless multiple people are talking to eachother kinda thing.

A lot of Kierans… not just in this paragraph but in the previous paragraphs too. I notice alot of name repetition like in a translated novel… :~) Just somethin I noticed.

I assume since hes out of fates cntrol does that mean that he could encuonter anything? I imagine fate in this story that leads the character to embrace their strength and destiny while throwing challenges difficult enough for them to handle but not enough to outright kill them with no chance of winning or escaping. That’s what I felt when I look back on Sunny’s journey, so I would also asume that now that he is outside fate’s influence, he would be suseptable to any passing terror or even titans meaning since he’s outside of fate’s influence he basically got no plot armor whatsoever. But you could also say that the difference between an npc and sunny is that sunny is heavily affected by fate and others are not that affected by it (how i think about it). But he (sunny) has also stated that his flaw has helped him because if he didn’t have it, then he would’ve still lied and been decietful and that would’ve landed him dead, alone, and pitiful in a muddy ditch. But this is me rammbling and thoughts about shadow slave in the latest chapters.
