They saw three figures hovering in the air, about a dozen meters high, standing on... nothing, as if it were solid ground. The moonlight caught their silhouettes. To the right stood a tall woman, her cloak rippling in the breeze. To the left, a man held his wand loosely at his side. And in the center stood another man in a long, dark coat, hands in his pockets—watching them so casually, it was as if he'd been there the entire time.
