Fun fact! There is a Tragedy tag associated with the novel! And the writing definition of a tragedy is: 2. a play dealing with tragic events and having an unhappy ending, especially one concerning the downfall of the main character. The entire point of the story is to watch the main character downward spiral. Maybe actually check the tags instead of assuming shit and leaving a review that’s a incorrect factually.
Keep in mind that the concept of Death is likely at minimum a level four concept to him. The difficulty in comprehending this is already insanely hard at his level as well as the fact that he’s in a situation where him dying could cause him to lose something, points. This means that he is in a different state of mind not too dissimilar to tempering and he has a mind much more powerful compared to every other time he’s died in the past. On top of this, he actually has knowledge about death concepts in comparison to previous trials where he didn’t, and he is actively trying to comprehend death itself instead of just dying and passively understanding death a little bit. So it’s a whole different scenario compared to both his previous trials and training.
I love how we the viewers are basically God in this. Not that we have power to change the situation, but us and the God just want to watch chaos and essentially make Shang suffer. I mean, the amount of comments recently saying how the story was boring/slow just perfect lines up with it. Praise be War
Man, I don’t much about this story cause it’s been a while, but if I remember correctly the only reason I responded to this comment is because the main character was mentioned to do this move to save mana. Like the author said it. There may have been better moves but honestly the world building and power system is so scuffed you can’t even arguably recommend something as a better move. Basically I don’t know man, I just read what the author wrote
The story is actually really good for the most part until the last 100 chapters, I recommend it as a read but at soon as the island is finished then it uhh… goes downhill fast as hell. The ending was god awful too, many plot holes and just shoved a good 20 chapters of development into the last two and didn’t even end it like an ending. Felt like the start to a new arc, but not really? I know this is super late but I just wanted to vent a little frustration about the novel
