This was a very exciting chapter, I got the jibbijibbies reading it. Also it kind of got me thinking, maybe Anthony's problem (cause Auth*cough cough* God said all reincarnated people had some kind of big problem in their life) is related to not feeling pain cause he saw Titus with his big old axe, that was going to hurt him 100% but he acts like he will not get hurt or feel a thing and gets in there. Seems like he is used to taking pain for other people to the point where it's just the way he sees the world, idk, though the way it's written kind of conveys that feeling. Or maybe it was the rage filled demon-axe influence that got released by the OP DARK DEMONIC WARPING SLASH (i like to imagine Titus as Legion Big Daddy Secret Weaboo).
So true, she is a struggling because she realized her point of view was too narrow but she kind of understands now that her life-lessons might not be true. And now she is trying to teach the same people who taugh her that about seeing another perspective. I really empathize with her, it's a real problem that many people face.
It's badass grandma time!! This reminds me of the first POV chapter of Enyd being like "what are we doing this is crazy" and now she is standing in the cold despair-inducing darkness 2nd strata in front of the mothertucking Legion to help the Colony. She the one true BITCH (Being In Total Control of Herself), give em a good metaphorical TWACK with your elocuence gurl!
I get your point but the objective of the legions is protecting the sapient races against monsters, they're not a kingdom like the Golgarii or the human kingdoms of the surface. These are Formica SAPIENS. They just don't want to aknowledge that they can be wrong in their thinking that monsters can evolve into something similar to them, so they just attack eveything first and when they fight back they are like: See? This are horrible monsters that hace killed our comrades! Very cult-like, they are adoctrinated.
I would like to see a twist in this war arc, the actual reason for the war is the stupidity of the other Sapient races that don't want to aknwoledge that a long-hated enemy of theirs now has the same mental habilities and rights as they have. The just treat them like monster even tho they have an actual society, language and developing culture (even if that last part is not known now). If you think about it maybe this is an actual metaphor that humans fall into content and they lose critical thinking when they believe they are right over anything else. To the Legion exterminating everything worked just fine for thousands of years they don't even try to change their ways. The Legions are the traditional society mindset and the ants and their allies are the new-way more progressive mindset. A very nice representation of our actual society.
Nobody thought how cool ir would be if Crinis tool one of the armors? She has a lot of mana ( i think cause of her skills and such) and with her flexible shadowflesh she could fit in any armor and control it from the inside. I know it's really wishful thinking but Abyssal Abomination Crinis sounds right up her line of evolution hahaha
I love how the carver ants fully show what Anthony had in mind for the ant class system he made for the formica sapiens. Each has their own preference be it artistic or pragmatic in nature and they evolve to be more efficient in their field of choice. I'm digging the idea of the ants with two bags ar their sides, I reaaaaallly hope one ant takes a liking to textile products and the human ideas of having clothing both practical and/or beautiful. Author, please make Clothant a real thing <3
I truly love you author!! I was totally ready for some gruesome war chapters and then you stab me with a knife of wholesomeness and excitement. Antmancer class tho... seems like it's implying they can control ants but knowing Beyn its just gonna become pure ant fangirling until the Colony picks up on it. I'm o prepared for our Antpriest Boi to reach deeper into the antness.
