he deserves it, frankly. he ran his family into debt, destitution, and starvation, not even considering his young children. now that life is better for them, his ONE JOB was to study well and pass the exam. if he continued his behaviour with no consequences, he would just revert back to how he was. he needs a serious wake up call, and the conscription is exactly that!

The FL shouldn't be the main character. She's dumb, useless, and lacks the sense of a modern woman, much less a university student. Her presence and contribution are nonexistent apart from her space. Without the Golden Finger, she'd just be a burden and waste of energy.

that's pathetic. as a modern man, all you can say is "i'll take care of everything, just stay home and take care of the kids"??? he might as well be the main character at that point. which is when i'll definitely drop the novel.
