the story as of chapter 40 is good. the character interactions requires a little refinement but the characters themselves are acting as they would have in a game only characters with prolonged exposure have shown personalities. this means that any character worth more screen time that one or two chapters the author has given a better personality than the regular cardboard cutouts. the story progression is also quite good. the mc personality is something i like, he is not some beta who goes after every female with a good looks like a dog. In-fact the mc is a no bullshit type of guy, if someone annoys him or has a annoying personality then he makes sure to clearly draw the line. the only negative thing in this novel is that nobody ever finds the mc mumbling his thoughts to himself, like he mumbles insult, plans and so much sh*t that already someone should have already found him out.
i just have a small doubt why does he need to say everything out loud? if it was for the skill then he could have simply murmured it under his breath. and why is nobody catching him when he is doing as so right next to them. other wise the book is excellent.
that definitely felt unsatisfying(the parents got off too easy). the main thing you can improve in the short term is your writing style. this is different from grammar. you can introduce titles or new skills and their descriptions in different kind of parenthesis. the scene change could also use something like page break. this helps tremendously.
