Tftc, it’s good that you are back in shape. Go your pace and don’t force yourself. Btw, I’ve been writing a fic too with a Shikotsumyaku user. I made up a good jutsu you may use if you like it, the Shikotsumyaku is still an Ōtsutsuki bloodline in the end so it deserve to see some development and power up to a comparable extend to the dojutsus and sage body. I don’t know if you have watched Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind, but there are creatures known as Giant Warriors that ravaged the world thousands of years ago and their giant squeletons are still filling the landscapes. It’s an awesome inspiration to a Susanoo equivalent to make a giant Squeletton structure jutsu !

Honestly I kind of wish he just get exposed and deal with the mess after going all in. It would spicy things, it’s never good when all things are smooth sailing for hundreds of chapters.
