And like I said, you lack comprehension abilities. Just based on the fact that you're trying to twist my argument to the basis of moral ethics which I never once argued against shows your shallow thinking. Your'e still on your days when people think they want to become power rangers. Grow up and learn to distinguish between fantasy and reality. My argument was entirely based as a reader, unlike you who bends the story to fit their narrow perspective and then whines when it tries to stray off the curve.
Because your entire argument is based on the fact that you've already established MC and the victim on your own perspective role which the author never tried to. Having little to no knowledge, you directly declared him as an innocent while the MC became a villain, when it has already been indicated that the mercenaries were inherently selfish as well.
Another person who thinks saying "be mature" would make him look like an experienced person. I'm sorry, but that just shows your immaturity for the fact that you believe someone to be inherently innocent with little to no knowledge. Your superficial and hypocritical belief of a superhero doesn't apply to this novel, because the protagonist was never established to be a 'good guy'. Acting out of self benefit is human nature which he abided by, necessary to the circumstances. Your hurt feelings don't change that fact. Plus your entire argument about 'protagonist's bias' crumbles down on itself
I don't know about my words but I do know that you don't have any argument except for "Why don't you put yourself in his shoes?". That's not a reader's mentality, I'm only judging the protagonist's actions as a bystander pov and giving my conclusion. You don't have to apeal to emotions, it's not a valid argument. I stand by my points, What the protagonist did is completely justified with respect to both circumstances and the environment he is living in. As for your answer, yes I'd be aggrieved. I'm not a saint but if I put you in the MC's shoes, even you'd make the same choice. Don't reply me with some Saint bullshit or "not everyone is like you". Selfishness is an inherent characteristic of a human, you are not spared from it.
ahh the developers are ex twitch staffs
