It's cool if you think short term, but long term it's good to have your goals set out on the table, and make sure not to be taken advantage of. To me it seems like these "heroes" are expendable to these people, since they can summon one if they need them, and are just expected to lay down their lives. Not caring that they may have ripped them away from their homes, families, and friends. And for what? People who want to use you and your power solely for their benefits? You should try watching an anime called "Log Horizon" and focus on how they deal with being transported to their game world, their adaptations, the development of economy, birth of laws, and how they deal with that world's monarchy. It's on Hulu and Funimation. It's a fun series but has great world building. So I recommend it for context as to why the MC acts this way. Sorry for all the people flaming you here. That sucks my guy/gal/non-binary pal.

To everyone, actually, yes the future described here is very very possible. Pollution and smog DOES kill the plant life and animals. As it is filled with toxins. Case in point, if the smog; as described earlier on, is covering the skies we have to treat as a toxic ice age. Anyone read the Dark Ages and/or in history books? This would indeed be possible, now factoring in toxins that are strong enough to kill plant life, animals, and humans in droves it is totally possible. But no one also takes into fact that humanity is cocky by nature. We have that forever kid mentality, the young minded "Nothing bad can happen to me" or the "it won't happen in m century that's the future generations problem". I mean aren't we literally doing the same thing right now? The polar ice caps are melting, the reefs are dying, twenty percent of all water is now plastic, and the seasons are now going out of whack in some parts of the world. If we don't shape up now THIS is the future.

This is where we're heading because old money and the big companies want to keep their hold on power. Did you know that the cars we have today were going to run on moonshine until the big gas companies came together to bribe the law and make moonshine illegal?? True stuff. Look it up.
