the wolf in Puss In Boots: Last Wish movie was calculative and kind of a judge. he found the very idea of nine lives for cats stupid, and hated Puss for wasting his lives and taking death for nothing. so, death can be anything the author wants. the execution is what matters id say tbh. i do suggest watching the movie btw. best portrayal of death ive seen in a movie
