Is this supposed to say Practor, or is this a trick of some kind?
"Fleet kept running" ... "He couldn't win, but he kept running. And when the storm caught him, it didn't matter that he'd died, because he'd run for all he had." ... "We all die in the end, you see...so I guess what matters is how well you've run." paraphrased out of context from Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson. I love the feeling these sorts of quotes invoke in me, and this chapter is the same. Well done.
But wait, I thought Shang's warrior path people weren't technically "warriors" either, since the Impose realm thing was a sort of skip of realms. Like that's a power that 6th realm stuff might have, unless I'm remembering wrong, which is very possible. Although if there're no actual "warriors" in the 5th realm, whatever that realm might actually be, I guess Shang and his students could just be called warriors. I figured they'd technically have some other name though. In any case, thanks for the chapter!
I just realized, since all the other paths are dead, mages won't have had any experience fighting against warriors of higher levels, since they haven't existed in a long time. warrior powers are a complete mystery to them. nice advantage for shang
ha
Whoops, that should probably say Briar, not Zac, right?
