ok for people confused (mostly new readers) but thyme is a tree and most likely doesn't have sexual characteristics like most humans (and humanoids) do. it's highly likely that Thyme is Agender or Genderfluid (although nothing is confirmed obviously) so the characters kinda just use whatever pronoun the chose at the moment or depending on which body of Thyme they are talking with.

Acheron is most likely a reference to the Acheron river sometimes known as the "river of pain" from Greek mythology which i find interesting

ok so i have a theory as to how slyphs infinite health works. so normally when a person dies their soul goes back to the cyle of reincarnation. due to her system absorbing the divine power a god (most likely) more powerful than those of terrarium she has become a pseudo demi-god and has been disconnected from the cycle forcing her to be stuck to her body whether that body is completely dismembered or not.

thats not necessary in their city for two reasons, one is that hollows won't attack anyone without mana and two is that normal monster will have a hard time appearing in the city with the amount of people awakening abilities and joining with the police/hunters stuff. not impossible but difficult.

the greeks had gaea as the embodiment of the earth, the native americans had mother earth, and other ancient cultures had their own earth deity so it makes sense that the earth itself would have a consciousness of some sort even of it was created from the beliefs of humans or not

the gorgon comes from greek mythology, there were three gorgons (as far as i know) but if i remember correctly only medusa could turn people into stone. steno is very similar to stheno one of the gorgons from the myths
