Personally I do not like this fate connection stuff in these type of novels.

i think its cuz they try to force the mc to seem super smart. stuff like this takes time and should be shown over several chapters. also let the reader know naturally than ppl always saying hes so cunning, smart, ruthless, etc.

That makes sense. Some villains are just people with bad personalities. Furthermore, there are thousands of young masters in cultivation novels. However, only the select few who cross paths with the mc are villains.

You do realize even the early, mid, late, and peak levels are really detailed. In some cultivation novels there early mid stage, mid mid stage, late mid stage, and peak of the mid stage of whatever realm. So that is literally converted to the 1-10 levels in a single realm. It is the same. Except in those novels that only have early, mid, late, and peak stages without going into smaller stages.
