Bonb_Crusher2mthReplied to Bonb_Crusherthere is something that bothers me with Emir, something that means that I cannot just hang on with him, he was created with the aim of being a weapon and has been training since his birth, therefore his mind and his abilities are justified. Maybe it comes from his opponents just not being strong enough, or something else. I just have the impression that they can overpower anything at this point, look at the fight with the salamander it's what you could call a close fight but yet I never had the impression that he was going to lose. Maybe that's just it, I don't feel like he can lose?

thats what was bothering me. You clearly wrote emir with flaw , but I just dont feel them in any fight . He never make any mistake with his Time ability , can responsable to any situation with is ability (can fight long , close range , now he can even protect himself). Lack of experience ? he can bypass this with his ability, . He's often "close to death" but I never feels as if he can lose à fight. He just feel too strong and perfect in the way he fight. Thats just the impression he is giving me. And his lack of "personality?" with his lack of any error make him just feel like an inorganic being.I just dont have any attachement to him. Actually the scenes that i like the most are the on with his family , when they are some devellopement for him.

I finally understand what bother me so much with this novel, I never feel like there is a danger , i never feel atached to any character , Émir feel just to perfect no mistake in any action , no hésitation just power blazing any obstacle. after so many chap I finally know why I can't get into it . Émir just feel inorganic ,à perfect being with anecdotic flaw who tremple any opposent

why it is so easy à complete stranger comme to you saying sweet things and poof à connection is created. Its just feel way to easy for the MC till now how he gain the sword was easy , how he gain the thief was easy. I will continue with 5 or 6 chapters but it just feel way too convenient for now

It just feel forced , you cant vient him as your savior when your survival is due to luck and when they had à chance to win without this plan. And just why ? why doesn't he just escape with his team this plan was just to dangerous when you can just prepare à secret escape route

now that I think about it , I was thinking maybe his sigil is too overpowered, but if he need 1 month for recover it's balanced
The Philosopher. Sounds like a Sigil for thinking and learning. It most certainly is not. But with how much Wyatt gets hurt, it definitely gets him thinking. Thinking about pain and suffering. Especially when the most potent ability from his Sigil basically cripples him for a month. It's already been around two weeks since he was initially hurt by that ability. As a reader, i dont understand the point of making your MC undefeatable .If you can't lose what s the meaning of a fight or struggle ?
