I think you misunderstood what I meant. I realize it's an opinion, and I'm just merely stating what I think is more likely and why I think so. I just think that the original statement was forced (referring to the comment above of which we're replying to. It has been found now that the statement was false as I suspected.
That tactic would have been ludicrous for anyone with more than a minimal understanding of Noah's prowess. It's a risky move if they suspect at all that Noah might win. As you can see, he did and gained valuable information and leverage from doing so. I suspect that the order came from someone who simply had learned that Noah was a very promising inscription master, and had seeked to force that talent into their ranks.
So because he is a demon, this is 100% the correct scenario? That makes literally zero sense and is annoyingly illogical. This scenario isn't even the most likely, let alone an absolute. Look up Occam's Razor, and perhaps try to understand the logic behind it.
He's already his heir. He proved his worth in the inheritance. Divine Demon designed his inheritance to be very difficult, and only a cultivator with massive potential and ability at their level could have been chosen by him. He was the one of a few that got through the inheritance, and was the only one chosen. He received the divine deduction technique and all as well, so Divine Demon readily invested in him. If he wanted to test him it would have been in a later inheritance meant for a higher existence, which would be revealed to the chosen cultivator of the human inheritance. Noah would not have yet been his heir then, but then instead would have been allowed to attempt the inheritance that would prove his worth as Divine Demon's heir. Trying to tie this ambush to Divine Demon just seems a bit forced to me. There are way more logical solutions, and the parent comment suggested that scenario was an absolute, which is even more ridiculous to me.
Sure, but the rightful heir of a powerful entity would typically receive more respect. If Divine Demon is the patriarch of the secret organization, Noah being his heir puts him in roughly the same power dynamic as that which existed between himself and Chasing Demon. Then it's simply a matter of cooperation and acknowledgment of said position. The way demons have been, it seems they wouldn't have gone to such drastic measures, forcing Noah to join them. Logic would tell you that an organization would be inclined to gain Noah's trust or ensure he is forced to join. I'm sure Divine Demon is well aware that Noah is very powerful for his cultivation level, and as such would have taken note that sending three gaseous stage cultivators after him would be a very risky move. In the event that Noah defeated them (as we saw happen), a leader would probably recognize that they potentially burned a bridge, given that Noah could have gained information about the attackers. I suspect that whoever ordered the ambush was unaware of Noah's strength in the slightest, and was only aware of his status as an inscription master. As such, given that Divine Demon possesses a bit more knowledge of Noah's potential, I suspect he was not the initiator.
that wouldn't make sense and here is why. When Noah was found to be an inscription master and he revealed his identity as Defying Demon, word spread quickly. As such, the secret organization mentioned would be aware of his status as a demon. Divine Demon, likely being a Patriarch like entity in whatever organization he might be a part of, would have been one of the first to learn about Noah's identity. Why then would Divine Demon set up an ambush targeting his own heir?
