I think she's acquainted with ray and they are conniving to ruin the smooth relationship of Theo and stella. Since Megan is a model and ray is into fashion which is a related industry.

I really enjoy reading this story. It is because, it runs lightly throughout the whole story. It is not hard to bear in your heart while reading and it is a short story which makes it not boring to read.
