So I consider, arguably the highest form of torture, defintely higher than anything we have on Earth, being performed on any living thing for the mere purpose of parchment is immoral and therefore unethical. Using animals for meat in factories is fine imo. They are in harsh conditions but industries arent putting them in pain for their sick pleasure, just a means to an end. Happy farm is 24/7 skining and regenerating, the amount of pain is not comparable. Yes the amount of pain is a big point of contention, if you are slapped on the wrist or punched in the face, Im sure even you can guess the difference. They could every easily breed sheep and kill them for their skin. It will 10x less effective but a lot more ethical. Im not saying they should do this, Happy Farm is aligned with their morals, but efficiency and the best thing to do doesnt mean its the right thing to do.
