I was thinking the exact same thing. But then it occurred to me that Wesley and the others should know who he is then. So unless she was already keeping secrets from back then (which I do not think it is the case), my guess is no. My guess is that is is like an older brother type for whom she had a first crush, like some like their teachers as children?

My guess is that Amanda is not Cyrus' real mother. and the Witch is definitely the person who caused his fathers' death, the she was not the mastermind. And they initially planned to kill Cyrus as well, but since he got amnesia, they decided to use him instead.

Great book, I loved every chapter. still, this ending feels a bit rushed. We still don't know Tong Pei's story and how he met her previously. Some extra's are needed, so kindly requesting~
