Mainly writing this for a bonus chapter, but honestly, it seems pretty good. Starting at a time period way before canon began with characters I hardly ever see mentioned in fanfics, it has a chance to be wildly different from the usual. One thing that is the same, though, is the protagonist being a pervert. Bleach fanfic MCs always are, lol.

Wait, does he already have Gil’s A-rank Luck? He definitely didn’t inherit Greed’s luck, considering what has happened. In that case, dude will be rich regardless.

Is this already on Gilgamesh’s level? Feels like overkill right now if it is. An E-rank Golden Rule or the Collector skill(if I recall, the Collector skill is for items, GR for gold), while not crazy compared to what OG Gil has, for a rookie player, the ability to always have just enough wealth and to have the luck to always collect items is already invaluable enough.

One of the cool things about this is that Gilgamesh will have more blacksmith titles than Greed did since he will be the top blacksmith, and thus get even more dexterity bonuses than the 500ish for the Unique and Legendary item maker titles AND get the achievement system bonuses for it. …What type of skill would he get for becoming a Blacksmith Warrior? And then there’s when he’ll actually become Pagma’s Successor… Maybe a Talent that will increase his handling of items he himself has made? Either way, the achievement bonuses are going to make the “weakest” legendary class (combat-wise) even more cheat-like and help him cover OG Gilgamesh’s weakness of not using the weapons well.

I’m curious to see the changes Gil’s actions cause. He could even maybe meet Yura early if he keeps attacking Yatan followers. Will he head off and mess around elsewhere and wait until canon starts, gathering talented NPCs and wealth, or will he kick the plot off to an early start? Maybe he’ll get the book and level while waiting for the plot to start, making him meet Irene early? Either way, with such a big variable (Kaela) at the start of his journey, I’m hopeful that things will spiral out of his control. Gil is already in a way better position than Greed was with a very capable and pretty teacher, and she can even power level him a bit, too. No way things stay the same.

Dude, your update speed is awesome. Don’t push yourself too hard, though. Loving this so far. Anyway, I don’t want to nag, but I hope the achievement system isn’t overpowered. Some money every here and there is fine. Giving him Talents is fine too. But I hope it doesn’t give him items, materials, or anything else like that, since he will be making his own stuff as a blacksmith. If it gives some sort of Inspiration skill or some blueprints, though, then cool. Can’t wait to see how Morpheus and the game company reacts to Gil being Gil. With him just occasionally getting more talented daily and doing seemingly random things that only make sense when you know the plot, I just know he’s going to drive them crazy.

Well, I certainly wouldn’t mind the story going on long enough to reach that point as it would be more satisfying than an immediate relationship. Anyway, no comment on the update schedule?

Shame. I’ll admit that I am among those that wanted her as the main romantic interest(though mainly because I don’t particularly like any of the ones from Tower of God). But you do have a point, so I won’t say anything more on it. If it happens, cool, and if not, well, I’m going to hope you make me see a new point of view on some of the female characters. Also, what’s the update schedule on this? It’s been updating daily since I started reading, which is cool but unusual.

That’s… actually a very good point, unfortunately. I just like her design and how adorable she is, so I guess that slipped my mind. But the climb up the Tower does take over, like, 11 years, doesn’t it? Shouldn’t be impossible later, then.

Oh yeah. The Tower lets in what it needs, right? It’s Bam’s fate to kill Jahad, so it’s Isaac’s fate to bring Adventure back to the Tower and climb higher. It makes sense that the Adventurer would arrive after the Avenger, anyway. On a side note, I noticed you said Mordred isn’t a love interest…?
