Demeter Khrysaoros, or Demeter of the Golden Blade, was, to be fair, a reference to wheat, but I can definitely see how you could have some fun twisting that epithet around.
I do hope he comes around to his sister's and Clyde's way of thinking, though he seems to be on that path already.
I'm really enjoying the story thus far and I'm very interested in seeing how the essences Nanyi is going to be using for combat fit in with the cooking side of his class. I'm also looking forward to seeing what Weilong's persona is. Also I do plan on making good on the last chapter's quest reward I just want to see what kind of environment Nanyi has ended up in so that I don't do something like making a penguin when he's in the desert.
As far as the general public knew indeed, Dionysus and Demeter are some of the last gods you'd want to mess with given that one is a god of madness, life, and death and rebirth while the other is a goddess who controls the seasons and more notably in a combat sense: frost.
