Oh my, such scandal…..tsk tsk tsk
Han paopao (Han “run-run”) is the main character from “A Mortal’s Journey to Immortality” by Wang Yu, a popular Xianxia WebNovel that has been adapted to comics, animation and I think there’s even a live action version now as well. I see references to this novel in a lot of newer works. Anywho, Han Li is his government name, and without spoiling too much, his characteristics as it relates here, are his cautiousness, cunning and ruthlessness. He tries to avoid trouble and when he can’t beat his enemies, he runs/avoids them (hence the Han paopao nickname). Otherwise, when he’s strong enough, he’s ruthless. Oftentimes, his full battle power is unknown to anyone but him, so when he strikes, his enemies usually don’t know what hit them. I think our current MC is saying that if such a destructive protagonist appears in the Sect, all he can do is run and avoid the trouble, like Han Li would, so he’s not drawn in and can continue to cultivate in peace
The talent he got from the stone spirit is metal related (Golden body something), so he still needs wood and earth. He has fire (crow), water (tiger) and metal (stone spirit).
I remember reading wind instead of wood as well….Could be a mistake in translation or oversight by the author, but in 5 elements theory, wind is a mutation of wood. If this keeps going in the five elements direction, my brain will just rewrite “wind” to “wood” in my memory and everything will make sense again lol….
“A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality” by Wang Yu. It’s a popular xianxia web novel. The protagonist’s name is Han Li and he is described as an ordinary/average looking young man with a darker complexion as he was the son of a farmer. Besides his features, the most recognizable trait is his little green bottle that helps him mature spirits plants very quickly. This treasure helps him overcome his talent limitations as he proceeds on his cultivation journey. Han Li is low key, but cunning and ruthless. Crossing him or someone he cares about ultimately leads to a bad ending for the instigator, so I found it funny when Bai Qi said he’d stand behind Old Liang if this Han Li wasn’t handsome. In my opinion, standing behind Old Liang wouldn’t help at all if green bottle Han Li wanted to kill him lol….
Hahahaha…..I just thought of this reference when I read the previous line
