There is a quote I like that says "there is chaos in order and an order to chaos," for me it means in order to be good/light or evil/dark or must have a tiny bit of the other to work correctly. Take example a knife it can cut, stab, slice, and kill whether it be animal or man it is both light, dark, and at the same time. But it takes the users intent of good or evil to determine what it is to become.
Philosophy is a study to find meaning in actions, thoughts, and motives of people. Because, of this everyone has their own opinion on what is good or evil, science and technology or faith and natural order. So a statement by an author who is writing about fiction and decides to put or use their thoughts, opinions, beliefs, and ideals in their writing. As a means to set the stage and plot is and should be seen as their view of the way things will be during the timeline the story takes place. Calling an author out on it is pointless it is their story they are telling and you should appreciate their view of a/the world they created.
yes I see what you are attempting to do and I can appreciate the diversity in an author's style of writing. forgive me if I offend you it's just a pet-pive of mine for inconsistency of actions/abilities/stats for rgp novels.
yes I read the synopsis, and what I said should be taken in that the skills and abilities brought in from the real world should give his stats a boost to show that those abilities play or affect game play. so my statement is that his stats don't reflect what his abilities are and makes it difficult for a gamer to corelate stats and the actions he preforms.
should increase or be given extra by system due to real life skills. because his abilities don't match with stats.
