Honestly I think this story and its characters are arced out and it should be left as is. No need to pull a Star Wars and make an unnecessary sequel.
As for the actual ending, I'm still unsure whether it was good or not. As I stated, I left it open to the possibility of a sequel. These are called hats of disguise. Once you don one, you will be able to alter your appearance at will. There are limitations to it, the big one being that it's an illusion.
