Tbh, I don't think it was anything of pride or arrogance at all. He played the hand he had, cause otherwise he would have had to go along with what she was saying, feign ignorance or something else. Frankly this is better as it lets Hermione know that she can't hide it from him and in a way be careful (her choice or not obviously *unspeakables*). If anything this paragraph about how Harry dealt with it and how you wrote due to arrogance or pride just makes me feel like I missed something when reading as it didn't come across as such. Anyways, thanks for the chapter, can't wait to get more!
I also know that some of you will think it was short-sighted of Harry to reveal what he knew, and you're right. It's his main character flaw. For all his talks, Harry is very prideful when it comes to his intelligence and likes to lord it over his opponents.
