I just had a gray theory what if takuma originally had his own body and they were doing testing on what if we seal a person inside another person like a tailed beast and the reason takuma’s soul didn't take over gray until later in life was because they sealed a baby takuma soul into greys body and it was the classic soul memories locked until a certain age deal so when takuka regained his memoreies over powering grays soul because takuma’s yin chakra was more vast because he has more memories making his yin get bigger overpowering greys mind and kicking him out

It's already been mentioned gray can use chakra maybe he can be used as a second set of hands to cast jutsu while takuma fights or just simply control tentacles
