Hi thanks for your comment. Personally I see this as always being the Doctors moral code personally. I'm not so arrogant as to say fans can't have their own interpretations LOL like before, but honestly to me if you watch the classic era he kills quite a bit, and uses guns more than you'd think and bio weapons, and explosives. Again much like my one he'd prefer not too in the classic era but if given no choice all of them from Hartnell to McCoy do.

"Ah good it still has power in it. Of course I'd rather not use this" he said with contempt. "Still if we have too, it's best to be prepared."

Hi sorry about the late reply. Been away from my writing for a long while due to my depression, but I'll be back this week. What did you think was so stupid about the Doctors behaviour in this story if you don't mind my asking? As for the sonic screwdriver not being used that often. That was intentional. I personally dislike the way the screwdriver is overused in the 21st century version. It's become far too easy a way to get the Doctor out of a sticky situation. This series overall limits its use. Also I wouldn't have liked that ending as the whole point of this story was to show that sometimes the Doctor doesn't win. The Daleks can't always be zapped away near the end with some convenient weapon. They are his archenemies for a reason.
