Magic existed for a lon time, so they can probably create spaces specialy for that or cast wards to prevent being noticed

It depends what do you mean many, and don't forget that Mc, his teacher and Dumbledore are on the same page about it, so that makes max 5 on the oposing side snd it was said old ones so Maxime may not be included that would make it 4. In any case 4 or 5 iss not much. Unless there are some old archmagus that are not known to the public and we would learn about it later
