I have to say this is my first Apocalyptic story I stop reading so early. It’s so erratic and the timing is off, makes little sense when it comes to the timeline. Even when I try there’s just something missing that just when I think I got it, it trips me off. It’s okay, but you’ve got to think really hard and pay attention to keep up. Not a story to listen to while driving or cooking or doing laundry. You need to sit and listen or you might get confused.

Pig/beef offal is the best. Probably wasn’t cooked in the right way to please the palette

My favorite would be chicken feet. Especially in a soup/broth even if it is a bit of work to eat it. Not a fan of pork of any kind though, so if I eat intestines it would be from beef or goat

Very good steady story. I haven’t read one with this type of slow but realistic narrative. However, children are more likely to lose interest quickly and even the quiet, obidient ones get fussy.
