That's just the way society is. So what if we have laws when the richer person can just hire lawyers and drown you in court, or use their connections to get your case thrown out.

What does the author mean by nightwear? Is it an evening gown, pajamas, or a bodysuit (like spies, thieves, and assassins seem to favor)? Because that changes the entire mood.
Explain to me how to be high profile and low key at the same time.
A javelin? Are they saying that he's long and thin, skinny as a pole? I'm confused about what the author wants to convey exactly.
How did he know? Author goes into detail on things that could be explained through the storytelling process and then just skips over this.
I'll give you three guesses.
A Grimoire is a book, it doesn't have to be said. That's like saying a Bible book or a dictionary book.

The Maasai tribe members actively hunt lions with just spears. Five people armed with bows, spears, and iron knives should have an easy time against one old leopard.
This sentence should either be deleted or incorporated into the previous sentence. This was either poor editing or an attempt to stretch the word count.
Shouldn't it be five men? Or is he not counting the one he knifed?
How exactly does any of that sound slow?
This seems too idyllic. Like the appearance of harmony is staged and the reality is hidden out of sight of the palace.
