Invisible Air isn't even a great ability if all he's doing is making his sword invisible and actual shockwave slashes wouldn't be as difficult. This is especially so since a) he has to maintain it and b) apply during battle. Any skilled warrior would already have a decent understanding of his range, even if they were slightly disadvantaged by having to follow his hands, elbows and shoulders to guess his blade trajectory.
