I don’t know, it seemed the mad prince is still “real” since he did appear in a dream. I would think that an echo of the real mad prince still exists. Maybe after the cohort defeats Torment the mad prince appears somehow or the mad prince comes up latter from time to time, or Sunny gets SPD and whenever he turns into his Saint form turns into the mad prince in a way.

I feel like the seals steal and implant the lifeforce or blood into the tattoos on the grand priests body boosting his chakra and lifeforce to almost immortality. Maybe if a 100 actual Jonins are sacrificed the results will be much more potent but it will be more difficult to harness. I think the Bishops die because their redirecting so much into a singular point.
