I hated this chapter.

and this is way too forced just to create tension and drama in the story. It's getting a bit stale in the end. And the way Aiden is going to deal with this is a bit stupid. He should have a more reliable plan in order to not implicate himself, at the same time, still doing the right thing to do. Sheesh...

And I read the succeeding chapters, where he became unconscious (Deadpool's powers were deemed useless by the author at that time, claiming that it was not yet activated. I wonder why, but the author explained because the x-gene was not yet activated. Then, the mc stood next to the sun. This alone should have increased his powers more than the adult counterpart that have not absorbed solar energy, which means exponential boost. We know kryptonians grow stronger as they age, but it's not a good reason to determine their strength, but how much solar power they absorbed and the type of solar power, regardless of how long they are in contact with it. This should have made his power immensely stronger, but nah, he is still weak. For this reason alone, it is safe to say that the author lacks the knowledge of what superman is capable of, because he should have become very capable despite being young.

what's your basis to say that the Smallville superman is pathetically weak? I'm just curious. like, I've watched the episodes as well, so I also am very familiar with the plot, so where in that show can you confirm that he is pathetically weak?

grammar is good. character design is a 1 for being stupid and bland, with no character development. world building is okay. there have been many stories with similar plot, only this time it's straight VR, which is kinda interesting but poorly executed. overall, I recommend this to anyone who don't have anything to read, but if you're looking for groundbreaking or fun novel w/ a fun mc, then this is not it.

a terrible start. if this was supposed to be realistic, then at least Angelica should have died on her first run. all the surprises, even the hallway filled with laser is already difficult to pass that she should have died even once. eh, whatever.

This story is a rare gem. Excellent grammar and choice of words, making it easier for readers to understand the plot. Wonderful imagination to cleverly combine two different fiction story into one (Harry Potter and ASOIAF). Character design is well made. Jon aka Harry Potter's actions are believable, and the other side characters are portrayed without disrespecting the fiction it's based from. Overall, this is rather a pleasant experience reading the journey of the MC. I'm not ashamed to recommend this to my friends because I'm quite assured of it's quality. Mads respect to the author. This novel should have ranked higher. I've read many novels that are ranked high but the ranking does not justify the actual content (e.g. bad grammar, convoluted plot, messy world building, outrageous character designs)

yes, he never fought against someone as strong as hulk in the beginning but never did the show pointed out that he can't defeat one. In fact, his strength was never discussed because he was always shown to be strong. The only times he was shown weak was when he's exposed to kryptonite, that's it. And we're talking about the movie hulk and not the comics hulk, which was greatly nerfed in the movie, and that's the reason many are 'crying' because movie hulk is trash compared to the hulk counterpart.

Nope. Nowhere in my comment did I assume that Hulk goes stronger with age, it's superman I was talking about, since that was the matter of discussion. It's common knowledge that Hulk goes stronger with rage and not with age, so there's no need to point out the obvious. I was just comparing the strength of superman as he ages against hulk's peak moment, as shown in the movies, since this story follows the MCU hulk, which is rather weak. If it's the comics hulk, it is definitely logical, because his rage strengthens his power exponentially, and superman can be trashed. But the MCU hulk? No way. He was greatly nerfed in the movie. Remember, we're talking about the MCU hulk's strength and not the comics counterpart.

Nope. People don't forget that Superman grows in power over time. The thing is there's no proof telling us the rate of increase in his power from young to adult, so we can't gauge how strong he was even at his younger age. Since there's no proof, then we can only base it on what was shown in the comics, movies, and tv shows, and adjust it accordingly. Most superman variants (at their peak) can trash MCU Hulk (at his peak) because their base attacks are way far apart, and I mean waaaaaay far apart. Unless it's Comics Hulk, and that's another story. The way the MC lost in the fight showed that the MCU Hulk was waaay stronger than Superman, which is a sign of Superman being nerfed for the sake of character development. Anyway, that was the author's choice, maybe he/she wanted an MC that grows from weak to strong. But it was not a wise choice to choose a very OP cheat (Superman without having weakness) plus Deadpool's regeneration skill (these combo powers do not need any major planning to grow stronger, except maybe going to the sun to improve immensely) if he planned to write an MC who grows from weak to strong. Whatever, the author can write whatever he/she wants; it's not a big deal, and it's his/her right.

All types of MC have their particular followers (e.g. harem-seeking, loyal, perverted, rational, brazen, paranoid, good, evil, heroic, crass, introvert, cool, overpowered, weak to strong, calm, funny, etc.), so don't be afraid and just write what you want. After all, you can't please everybody, and in every type of MC, you lose some and gain some readers. As long as you continue writing quality chapters that respect the reader's intelligence, you will surely get support and stones.

In this chapter, the MC is acting childish and immature, to the extent that it is almost on the borderline of being stupid because Kanae is not even subtle with his approach, yet he was aggravated. I find it surprising and funny that with a simple interrogation from Kanae, Hayase started acting like a five-year-old. I mean, I'm very familiar with how psychotherapy works, and their initial interactions alone clearly indicate that the MC is not that mature and collected, regardless of whether him having trauma or not. Anyway, aside from that weird beginning during the therapy plot, at least what Kanae advised him to do are reasonable and sound. Anyway, this is still an excellent chapter. Thank you, author.
